“Out-Lawmakers” Aboard Cha-Cha Train Speeding Fast to Derail 2010 Election

December 1, 2008

Administration allies in the Lower House of Representatives are fast-tracking to amend the constitution through constituent assembly. The charter change or cha-cha train is almost full and now ready to travel to the next station where “out-lawmakers” are to meet and vote to amend the nation’s 1987 constitution and to finally lift term limits of current elected officials including President Gloria Arroyo.

Latest reports said that only a few more votes to achieve the required 2/3 votes and cha-cha is off to convene as constituent assembly. Rabid supporters in congress are doing everything to extend their terms and their beloved President because they have vast nefarious interests in all sectors.

The “out-lawmakers” are serious about the no election or “no-el” scenario by conditioning the minds of the people that charter change is good for the country and 2010 election is no longer needed, because the nation’s system of government will be changed from presidential to parliamentary where PGMA will sit as Prime Minister yet again.

John Cleese, Who?

November 26, 2008

I really don’t know who John Cleese is, but one thing for sure is that he is an Englishman, a humorist and satirist to name a few. Curiously, I got interested on John Cleese partly because of his old political belief concerning the United States of America and the once mighty conqueror of the world, Great Britain.

In his own words, John Cleese dismissed the American people for failing to nominate competent candidates in the just concluded US Presidential Election. And because of this failure he wrote that ’we hereby give notice of the revocation of your independence, effective immediately. Her Sovereign Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will resume monarchical duties over all states, commonwealths, and territories (except Kansas, which she does not fancy).Your new prime minister, Gordon Brown, will appoint a governor for America without the need for further elections. Congress and the Senate will be disbanded.’

The message is clear. John Cleese, the Englishman, is trying to make a statement that the American politics had considerably changed since the Brits ruled America centuries ago. Obviously, Mr. Cleese was influenced by the great history of his motherland and that of the United Stated of America. He still holds grudge the way Americans kicked the British out of America. Are they not brothers in blood?

First Family under Fire from Former Close Ally

November 26, 2008

The first family headed by President Gloria Arroyo is under fire as former House Speaker Jose De Venecia accused the first couple of abuse of power. Congressman JDV, the one time staunch ally and errand-boy of the president and the administration, turned enemy of the first family.

The word-war started when JDV finally talked about his first-hand information regarding the shenanigans in government. It involves the ZTE-NBN Broad Band deal with the Chinese, the 500k bribery distributed to all pro-administration congressmen to kill the impeachment complaint in 2007, human rights violations, abuse of executive, legislative and judiciary powers and many more irregularities that the administration committed since it took power under questionable circumstances. But despite of the overwhelming evidence, the first family denied the accusations and called JDV as liar.

Charter Change Begins to Roll

November 22, 2008

Congressmen allied with President Gloria Arroyo had started to roll their sullied agenda to amend the country’s constitution by means of charter change or cha-cha. The congressmen, all loyal supporters of the administration, had been busy looking for ways to finally amend some of the provisions of the 1987 constitution which, according to them impede the country’s development.

Critics, however, immediately hit the initiatives of the power-sated yet hungry congressmen saying that it is a ploy to extend the term of the President and all of her allies enjoying good life as corrupt leaders of the suffering Filipino nation.

There are many pressing issues to confront but apparently the administration and its lackeys keep themselves preoccupied on how to prolong their stay in power. There seems to be a conspicuous plan by the administration not to relinquish power in 2010. The President’s Press Secretary even asked God to give PGMA forbearance and tolerance to lead the Philippines perhaps even beyond 2010.

The President’s congressman-son is leading the way in winning the hearts and minds of his colleagues to support charter change to lift term limits of all elected officials. The Filipino nation will finally see its demise. God forbid.

RP’s Pols Resumes to Play the Game of Dirty Politics

November 18, 2008

Political turmoil once again rocked the Philippines after the nation’s senate was hit by leadership changes orchestrated by the administration’s allies in the upper chamber. Senate President Manny Villar was ousted yesterday by no less than 14 of his colleagues headed by one of the staunch supporters of President Gloria Arroyo.

The senate coup was suspected to be the handiwork of the administration to prolong its continued stay in power beyond 2010. The no-el or no election scenario is once again making people nervous especially now that the senate has its new leader in the person of Senator Juan Ponce Enrile, the former martial law henchman of the former dictator Marcos.

The new senate president is a veteran and knows how to play the game of dirty politics. He is one of the grand old man of Philippine politics who help the country remain in the cellar of economic, political and social injustice and degradation.

The Philippines is bracing yet another version of dirty politics with the same players of politicos who are ready to do everything to derail the democratic processes by subverting the constitutional provision of free election. The power-hungry allies of the administration can now move on to their next plan of action to endorse CHA-CHA or charter change so as to perpetuate themselves in power.

And the new senate leadership will play a big role in this new political upheaval. They won’t stop until all their plans realized before the 2010 general elections come.

Is America Ready to Shift From Capitalism to Socialism?

October 29, 2008

Maybe only Obama could answer the question whether he is ready to banish capitalism and inject his socialist ideals to the American people. Surely, though Obama might give it a try once elected especially that he is popular in America and in other parts of the world. And because Obama and supporters already smells victory, his promise to CHANGE America is ripe for immediate implementation.

Obama’s popularity over McCain only shows that America is now ready to take Obama’s “highway of change” where Americans can travel with Obama to the new social, political and economic dimensions towards socialism.

In that “highway of change” waiting are Hugo Chavez, Evo Morales and other socialist leaders in South America ready to welcome the emerging Socialist US of A in a comrade-like bear hug. Viva Socialista Estados Unidos de America.

Grin and Bear It II

September 19, 2008

The social degeneration continuously changing the moral standard of the human race and it is terribly unthinkable. What if sensible people can not endure it? Maybe they could just stay in the sideline and grin and bear it in digress. But what if a certain government and its rank and file employees are considered lavishly corrupt, dishonest, greedy and inept and having defective moral stature?

Similarly, sensible people have no choice but to endure the everlasting wickedness of their government and its workforce doing misery to them and to their country at large. That picture of a country destroyed in the past and continuously suffers under new crop of leaders from the executive, legislative and judiciary is the same rundown picture of a country trying to rise exhaustingly from political, economic and social turmoil.

Sadly, wickedness rules where scams and anomalies are the daily functions in the executive department. Pork barrel funds, lobby funds, fat commissions, shady deals are what makes the legislative body happy. Equally, the judiciary has their share of the loot.

One prominent lawyer in a TV interview had said that the judiciary is 90% corrupt. In fact they are the notorious hoodlums in robe that bang the gavel in pricey court decisions. Talk about justice? Forget it. Justice favors only those who wield power, money and connections.

The wickedness is extensive. It affects the entire bureaucracy where the culture of corruption is normally an inherent practice. The upper and lower sections of bureaucracy complement each other. They misrepresent their offices and positions to the detriment of the ordinary people and the entire nation.

And it is very sad to note that all of these things are happening in the Philippines in a continuing trend. The past and present leaders have the same motivations in running the country: to enrich and to get dirty rich. Their aim is not really in the service of the Filipino nation but for the control of their vested interests and the continuity of servitude.

They love to run the country because it is their bread and butter for their families. Being in government or in elective position is a career that makes them wealthy. They choose not to lift the nation to progress because they don’t want to share luxury and comfort with the poor majority. In the end, the majority suffers with no obvious end in sight. Grin and bear it? Aye!

The Politicos’ Den

September 3, 2008

The well fed and pampered pack of politicos kept in the “Politicos’ Den” by the Philippine government will be released two years from now. The pack which is similar to the wolves in sheep’s clothing had gone through intense mind conditioning and physical training to defend the throne of power against the surging oppositions in 2010 general elections.

The “Politicos’ Den” which is defended by loyal supporters and leaders, got to enlist the services and membership of a towering figure in Manny Pacquiao. Hoping to give them popular advantage, the black knights of “Politicos’ Den” convinced the flamboyant boxer to join them in their crusade to crush the messianic white knights of the opposition.

The ever loyal black knights knows that their queen and their ‘Politicos’ Den” are not popular to the peasants, the ordinary people, the urban poor and the progressive groups. And so they think that Pacquiao will give them a boost and use him to fool the Filipino nation to join them in their lost cause in 2010. Pacquiao will run as congressman.

The black knights and Pacquiao will be using coats of arms which symbolize incompetence, abuse, corrupt, greed and evil. If the election comes clean, that would be the sign of defeat for Pacquiao et al. But everybody knows that the queen, the black knights and the loyal followers are dirty fighters.

They are without fear as the logo emblazoned on Pacquiao’s short to warn his opponent when he is in the ring. If this would be the case in 2010 election and Pacquiao and the pack of politicos trained in ‘Politicos’ Den’ wins, well, May God Bless the Philippines. The country is no longer worth living for. If only I have the money, I will migrate to Canada or North America or Australia. But poor me, there’s nowhere to go but stay at home andI’ll just satisfy myself to express my frustration, exasperation and anger by writing blogs.

Obama’s Speech Good as Fiction

August 31, 2008

It’s party time for the Democrats for they have Barack Obama on the front seat that was given the honor in a Democratic Convention, to steer the wheel of presidential fight. On his side is Biden who once said that Obama is not yet ready to lead the US as president. But in the end they are singing the same song and riding in tandem hoping to outrun the Republicans for the coveted position in the White House.

Obama, in his well rehearsed speech delivered before his supporters and allies rev-up his charismatic leadership by hitting hard on Republicans especially John M. which draws applause and praise from the audience. The mesmerized audience approved Obama’s political punch-line and rhetoric, which, if studied carefully, has no definite answer on the issues he is trying to explain to the American people.

Barack Obama said that America needs new ideas. But what kind of new ideas he is about to offer? He ridiculed John M. about Osama Bin Ladin (sound like Obama Biden). But he did not made an answer on how to get Osama out of his lair. He did not mention what the best solution to fight or eradicate terrorism.

Maybe his new ideas are to appease the terrorists; allow Russia to re-conquer former Soviet territories; disengage in Iraq posthaste and leave the country in ethnic conflict; to relax immigration and homeland security to give leeway to terror groups to train and wreck havoc inside the US mainland;

To appoint Michel Moore and Sean Penn as State Secretary and Assistant Secretary respectively and to give Hollywood the status as the mouthpiece of Democratic Party concerning political, economic, social and moral issues. Cheers! Thanks, but no thanks. Obama’s speech is good as fiction. I am very sorry but he’s no great, to say the least.

Big Lie

July 30, 2008

When the 8th SONA was delivered by the chief executive before the suffering Filipino nation last July 28, 2008, many did not bother to listen. Only those invited guests and trusted allies and staunch supporters who filled the controversial House of Representatives were there to express their approval to their autocratic leader.

As usual the State of the Nation Address failed to convince the nation because it was a recycled speech full of lies of misleading achievements and success. The whole part of the speech centered mainly on the untruthfulness of work done by the administration of PGMA and her fellow autocrats posing as democrats.

The boastful SONA was met with disapproval when the president boasted and said that text messaging is a way of life of the Filipinos and that she was able to convince the three big telecommunication companies to lower their text rate from 1 peso to 50 centavo per text. But this was contradicted by the big three which they emphasized that there’s no such thing about rate adjustment, rather it is only a three months text promo activity.

Many dismissed the SONA to a greater extent when the president firmly defended her policy on expanded value added tax or EVAT. The 12% EVAT being imposed on oil and the 12% VAT on all basic commodities caused many to suffer greatly. Many believed that the EVAT from oil will be used in 2010 general elections. Here, sinister plots continue to worry the Filipino nation.

That boastful SONA with big lie on it only shows that uncertain future lies ahead for the Philippines which were unjustly ruled by remnants of dictatorship and the new breed of villainous politicians and government officials doing massive damage to the country.
